I hope you will find my web page a useful tool in the construction of your Porchev. I purchased a '67 912 in '68. It was a theft recovery, and so happened to be minus the engine. Replacing the void with a Chevy V-8 was merely a cost effective solution. The engine compartment required no modification to accommodate the small block, and just a couple of years later I found the same to be true with the 914. Almost all of the modifications took place up front to accommodate the cooling system.
